Heartbeat first appeared on our screens on the 10th April 1992, with an episode called "Changing Places" - the first of a trial of 10
episodes. It was so popular, that filming went on for another 17 years, a total of 373 episodes. Filming finally ended of 1st May 2009,
and the last ever episode "Sweet Sorrow" was shown on 12th September 2010.

Photo Shoot

On friday 19th June 2009, David, Gina and Dawn came back to Goathland to do a photoshoot and a short clip for Celebrity
Family Fortunes. Despite the rain, they managed to shoot the sequence, which was shown later in the year.

Book Signing
On the 12th August 2009, David Lonsdale and Steven Blakeley came back to theAidensfield Stores, to sign copies of the
bookazine "Heartbeat - the story behindthe series".
The book is on sale in the shop and on their website.
All the proceeds
from the sale of the books were donated to the their chosen charities.

On the 4th August 2010, David Lonsdale and Tricia Penrose returned to do another book signing at the Aidensfield Stores.
They stayed for nearly 3 hours, and the queue was as long as ever.
